Catholic Committee on Scouting and Camp Fire
The Catholic Scouting patch were available to Catholic scouts, Camp Fire youth, and leaders in the Diocese of San Jose.  The purpose of this patch is to promote religious program participation, and to recognize the achievements of the boys and girls who have completed the programs.  The 3" round patch features the diocesan crest centered on a Jerusalem cross.  The larger cross is surrounded by the Chi-Rho symbol, and the symbols of the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Camp Fire USA.

The segments may be placed around the main Catholic Scouting patch.  Scouts must have earned the religious medal for each emblem segment they wish to purchase.  A parent or guardian's signature is required to verify completion of the religious programs.
Patch segments (rockers) represented the Catholic religious emblems.  The four segments for the Boy Scout emblem programs are: Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, and Pope Pius XII.  The four segments for the Girl Scouts and Camp Fire emblem programs are: Family of God, I Live My Faith, Marian Medal, and Spirit Alive.
